Bath and shower time favourites

Like most people I often find myself spending way too much time in trying to pick the perfect scent for my bath or shower. Throughout last year I was constantly building up my collection of bath and shower treats to find the perfect scent for every bath to shower time. At the end of last year my collection finally got to the point where I was completely happy with it (Plus I got a bit more for Christmas so I might just do a separate post for them). Before I used them all, I thought I'd take some photos so I could show and tell you about some of my most recent favourite bath/shower time products.

So white - I got this one last year just before Christmas shopping, when I went to buy presents for my family and had some money left over. I had heard loads about this bath bomb in the past but not really thought anything of it however this time I really liked the smell and bought it straight away. Both me and my Mum love the smell but my Sister couldn't really work out the smell, it's got a really strong fresh apple smell to it although the smell isn't too overpowering. I wish I bought more because when I got home I actually found out they only sell this one at Christmas time (noooooooo).

Candy mountain - Since the first time I ever stepped into Lush, I had always wanted to try this one but never got round to it because I wanted to try the more exciting ones. However when I went into Lush I just couldn't resist and ended up putting it in my basket. For those of you who don't know it smells exactly like bubble gum or Lush's Snow Fairy shower gel, which I also have! So far, when ever I've bought a bubble bar, my experience has been pretty good and has always ended up making my bathroom smell amazing for a few more hours after my bath.

Butterball - This always brings back such good memories of when I bought my first ever bath bomb from lush because as that was the scent it was. I also love this because it has a nice soothing, relaxing scent to it and it also leaves your skin silky soft. Plus it's perfect if you want to add a different smelling bubble bath to your bath.

Zoella fizz bar - I got this one from some friends for my Birthday and it's sooooo good. Just like the Butterball it leaves your skin soft and has a relaxing smell to it, they also kind of smell the same too. I  also love how if you don't want to use it all there's enough to break it up into squares just like a chocolate bar. So sometimes when I want a little bath I just break off two squares and put my favourite bubble bath with it.

Snow fairy shower gel - Whenever I go into Lush around Christmas time I always smell this but never buy it because they never have the really small bottles and I don't ever want to buy the big bottles because I'll never finish one since I like to go from one scent to another quite often. If you like the bubble gum lip scrub scent then you'll love this because it's basically that but in a soap form. I think you can even use this as a hair wash too so I think I'm going to compare it any see how well it works compared to other shampoos.

I just loved this packaging, it's so cute :)
Just before Christmas I got sent this AMAZING gift set from Sparkle PR and Salon Services as an early Christmas present. Possibility is a brand that I've bought from and loved before although I could never find where to buy it again. I already have one of their lip balms in Creme Brûlée flavour and now I have the same one but instead as a body butter. They also come in Raspberry Pavlova and Lemon Cheese cake and all 3 smell as good as they taste in real life! I also love how they come with mini recipes on the side on how you can make the actual deserts that the body butters are named after. Although I'm pretty sure if I tried to make them they'd go horribly wrong!

So there's a few of my favourite bath/shower products, that are definitely worth a re-buy as soon as they run out! Hope you enjoyed reading, what's your favourite products for bath/shower times?

2 New bath bombs from Lush

Oooh colours!
Hey everyone! At the weekend, like many others, I found myself yet again buying more bath bombs from Lush. Over the past year this has become a habit of mine to just go into Lush whenever I see one and trust me it's not going to end soon! Especially when they keep bringing out amazing bath bombs like these! For what seems like for ever I have been wanting the shop near me to start stocking these so when I went in there it was a big surprise to me that they now had these.

The first thing that I picked up was the 'Intergalactic' bath bomb, which like the name suggests, transforms the water to a bright blue colour making it look like space. It also has A LOT of glitter mixed into it which I actually didn't mind because it left my skin with a slight shimmer whenever the light hit it.

I love how it fizzed around my bath giving off all the colours that were in the little strip of colour as well as the blue making my bath literally turn into the galaxy (OK... not literally but it felt like it!) Usually smell is something that I look for in most products however, I think the joy of Lush even having these in stock just overwhelmed me and I completely forgot to smell them before I bought them. Luckily this one smells alright, it smells quite strongly of the stuff you rub on your chest when you're ill which isn't my favourite, as it just reminds me of having a blocked nose and a horrible cold. But I can put up with it because once it was in the bath I think the smell actually changed into a less minty smell and more calming and relaxing.

Here's a quick picture I took before getting in, it looks so magical!
I also picked up 'The Experimenter' which I actually saw online before seeing the last one so I've been wanting this for a bit longer which makes it just that tiny bit more exciting to find! I love the design of this, it has just a slightly different shape than most other bath bombs as it is a hexagonal shape. It's also quite interesting as it has quite a few different colours (five to be exact) on it, so I can't wait to use it!

I haven't used it yet as I'm waiting for the colder months because I have read a few comments saying that it reminded people of winter because it reminded them of Christmas spices so I'm just waiting until when I have a really cosy day at home and can just use the bath bomb with Christmas music on repeat! I also read on Lush's website that it has popping candy inside so it's going to be really exciting when it goes into the water!

There was also a flamingo bath bomb on a stick as well which I also found quite cute so that might be my next excuse to go into Lush! Hope you've enjoyed reading.

Maple Holistics face mask review

Hey everyone! This week I'd thought that I would tell you about Maple Holistics Dead Sea Mud Mask. Hope you enjoy reading!

Theres no better way to wind down from the day, than with a face mask it has to be one of my favourite things to do when ever I have had a busy day and just need to spend a bit of 'me time', because who doesn't like home pamper days! As you have probably read this face mask contains dead sea which is extremely beneficial to skin because of the high levels of salt and minerals in it. The face mask is actually made up of 32% dead sea which means you're definitely going to experience all the benefits of what the dead sea can do for your skin. Another skin loving product that is in here is German Chamomileb (I had never heard of this before) which helps reduce stress, nerves and redness in the skin. This face mask also includes ingredients such as;

Lavender: Allows the mud to be used to its best for your skin
Green Myrtle: Helps with oily skin
Clary Sage: Creates the calming scents that are infused through out the mask

When I first saw the face mask on the website I thought it was either going to be the tiniest pot ever or only filled up half way but it's actually neither of those. However I couldn't have been more wrong as the pot it came in is actually a reasonable size as well as being full to the very top! Which is something I really like from a brand because there's nothing worse than having to be unbelievably careful about how much you use so it doesn't run out.

I could hardly wait to use this as soon as I got it so after waiting just 1 day I couldn't resist any longer, off came the make up and on went the mud mask, it was heavenly! Usually the worst part of a face mask is applying it however I think I have finally found one that I like putting on as it was exactly the right consistency. At first it felt a tiny bit un-comftable as it was tightening against my face quite fast but it just meant it was doing what it's meant to I'm guessing. After attempting to scare the rest of my family (if you haven't done this before you seriously need to) and watching a bit of YouTube it was finally time to take it off. With a bit of hot water and some soap to finish off it was completely off leaving me with the smoothest skin ever! After, I just applied a tiny bit of moisturiser which is just something I like to do to finish everything off.

Overall I loved this product it's honestly one of the best face masks I  have ever used, after it brought out all my spots (which usually tells me its a good product because its managed to bring them out, where as they would have stayed there for another week or so) my skin looked glowy and clear with no blemishes or anything!

Proactiv+ Exfoliator and Hydrator review

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great day, earlier on in the month I got sent these AMAZING products to review, I hope you enjoy reading and the links to where you can find these products will be listed at the end go the post.

I'm going to start with the smoothing exfoliator facial cleanser which I really like as it smells so fresh and unlike other facial cleansers doesn't smell strongly of chemicals and doesn't make your face feel sticky after you have applied it.

I really love how even though this is a deep cleanser you can use this face wash daily and it isn't harsh on your skin. This face wash claims that it can fight acne/spot prone skin as well as fighting against blemishes plus it also removes make-up, unnecessary oil, dirt and other things that might be on your face. After using this product for only about 2 weeks I can already see a major difference and I'm even getting less spots than before which is soooo good! I also feel like when I use this product my face is left feeling radiant and fresh.

The other product I got was this Complexion Perfection Hydrator which you apply to your face after you have used the exfoliator. When I first used this I didn't really like the smell and thought it wasn't very nice however after using this for a while I have become used to the smell and now love it!

This product is designed to soak up excess oil on the skin to help mattify and give it a smoother-looking appearance, minimise the appearance of pores, help reduce redness giving skin a smoother look as well as containing acne fighting salicylic acid to help clear up acne blemishes and prevent new ones from forming and is made with a skin brightening complex to help give the appearance of even skin tone and radiant-looking.

I use this face wash everyday mainly in the morning however if I actually do remember at night as well. Although the packaging is quite dull and boring looking these face washes definitely live up to what they say they do on the box.If you would like to find out more of their products here is the website where you can find great deals on their products, as well as this you can also find celebrities stories on how the products helped them with their skin too.

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed. These products were sent to me by a company however ALL opinions are my own, to find out more click here.

Casmara Purifying facemask review

Have you ever just opened a products and went... WOW!? Well thats exactly what happened when I received this, at first I was a bit put off by the price of this product but as soon as it was opened I could totally see why but I'll tell you about what was inside later!

At first I thought the design was really weird for a facemask but then slowly it started to make sense... The lid is actually the pot where you put all the products in a mix it together with the spatular that is provided. So I thought that was a really clever and original idea. In this pot you actually get quite a few products and its not a little amount its probably enough for 2 people as I had quite a bit left over.

~

What was included:

Powder - I really don't know what this was and to
be honest it didn't smell the best.

Gel that you mix into the powder

Purifying serum which oxygenates your skin

Spatular - I used this to mix and apply the facial mask

Instructions

~

Before applying like the pot says I went onto their website and watched the video that tells you what to do although this didn't really help as it was in Spanish (thats a guess) but as it was a video I could just watch what the lady was doing.

~

What I did:

Washed my face with the simple moisturising face wash then got a towel out as I'm quite a messy person and knowing me it would go everywhere! I also tied my hair up too.

I then applied a small amount of the serum and rubbed it into my face really well.

After doing that I got my pot (Well lid...) then mixed both the powder and the gel together the best I could.

By now it was a lot smoother but it was no where near like the one on the front of the pot  however it wouldn't get any smoother.

Using the spatular provided I applied it to my face making sure everything was covered (but my eyes, nose and lips).

I waited around 15 minutes (With cucumber slices on my eyes of course) then peeled it off and this was the bit that amazed me the most, it literally felt like a bouncy ball texture!!

Lastly I applied the rest of the serum and relaxed.

~

Overall I really enjoyed this product although I defiantly would have preferred the instructions to be in english too although they probably were I just didn't look that hard! As well as this it wasn't the most pleasant smell but I made my face feel sooo nice and fresh as it has algae in it which acts as softener and leaves you feeling refreshed!

Buy this product here or view the range here!

Price - £9.99

(bit pricey but 100% worth it)

Thanks for reading

Instanatural Scar Gel review

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago Instanatural kindly sent me their Scar Gel to try & review and I think it's AMAZING!

This gel is great for me as I scar super easily and at the moment the worst scar I have is the one on my knee from last year when I decided it would be a good idea to go on a giant hamster wheel, lined with old carpet, at a fairground...with shorts on. Obviously it wasn't and I got super bad carpet burn that left me with a scar.

The gel contains Green tea to strengthen the skin as well as moisturising the scar as it gets better. It is designed to soften the texture and the colour of scars as well as reducing the scars appearance. To make the process of healing even faster the gel contains a natural protein called Epidermal growth factor.

~ How to use ~

Squirt a few drops of the gel onto the back of your hand or in the palm of your hand then rub onto the scar.

Repeat this every night until you are satisfied with the results!

I really liked that the gel looked really natural and didn't look like it had been put through loads of processes. One of the only things I didn't really like was that it smelt strongly of brown sugar. I've been using this gel every night for a week now and my scar has almost disappeared and it's slowly starting to blend into the rest of my skin.

Another thing I like about this product is the size of the bottle as it's quite small so it is easy to put in your bag if you're going out somewhere over night it won't take up a lot of room.

You can buy the Instanatural Scar Gel here or to view the rest of Instanaturals product visit their website here.

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed!

April favourites!

Hey everyone, this year is going sooooo fast I can't believe it is already May! in April there were quite a few products that I really enjoyed using and I really want to share them with you! All the links to where you can find these products are at the bottom of the post, enjoy reading!

BD Trade secrets foundation

So far I have really enjoyed using both these products, the one I use the most is the foundation probably because most of the time I can't really be that bothered to sit down and apply all of my make up either that or I'm running super late and don't have enough time!

My Wake Me Up foundation was getting a bit empty and it looks really pale on me, I don't know why though since I haven't really been in the sun yet! When I brought this I thought that I would really miss my old foundation because it was quite good one but I thought it was time to venture out and try something new! As Tesco's range of beauty products are getting really good I decided to go there and see what I could find. After ALOT of looking and picking things up then putting things down I finally picked BD Trade Secrets Long lasting wear in the shade natural skin.

To be honest its so similar to the Wake Me Up foundation I might of well of just picked that up instead and it would have been cheaper too! But since I like the Wake Me Up foundation I don't mind that much. The foundation does last through out the day which is super good it is also really easy to apply with a sponge but I found it a bit harder to apply with a brush.

Tea Tree Water Toner

I wish I had found out about this sooner! Before I brought this I didn't really see any point of using one of these since to me it was just something extra that people put on their face after cleansing. However as I found out a toner is much more and you should defiantly buy one if you have oily or acne prone skin as well as people who would like extra cleansing after wearing make up. Toners also remove any oil  build up as well as dirt on your face to reduce the amount of spots you get.

I had been looking for a toner for quite a while but when I saw one in Lush I knew that if anywhere this would probably be the best place to get a toner that had all natural ingredients and had not been tested on animals! When I first smelt it I didn't really like it as the smell of Tea Tree isn't exactly my favouritist smell in the world but I can put up with it! Like most Lush products it only has a few ingredients in it the main ones are; Juniperberry water, Tea Tree water and Grapefruit water.

Since purchasing this my skin has defiantly got better! It has defiantly sneaked into my morning & night routine and I'm pretty sure if you buy this it will find a way to get into your skin care routine wether that be day or night!

How to use

Make sure you have a clean face before using the toner, I recommend using the simple face moisturiser or you can just use your favourite face wash.

Then lightly spritz a small amount of the Tea Tree Water onto your face (try not to scrunch up your face like I do sometimes!)

Wipe off the water with a cotton wool pad making sure you get any left over dirt that you missed when washing your face.

You can either apply your make up or just leave your face as it is! But please DON'T use this if you have literally just used a face mask as the acids in the toner kinda sting your face... A LOT... as I have just found out!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge

So many people love this sponge and I have seen so many good reviews about it I really wanted to test it out for my self so after reading review after review just to make sure it was right I went out to buy it!

When I saw it I was a bit annoyed that it was smaller than what it had been made to look like in some pictures/videos but then once I got home and poured some water on it, it ended up about 2 times the size! I find it easier than the brushes to apply foundation with  because it has 3 different sides. You have the rounder side for larger surfaces like your cheeks then you have a smaller side for other parts of your face then at each end it has points which you can use to get in the smaller places so you don't end up looking like a patchwork doll! Theonly thing I don't like about this is I'm really un sure on how to clean this however I'm pretty sure if I use some water and baby shampoo it should work.

Bruzz - the most hygienic nail brush in the world!

Hey everyone, I recently received a nail brush from Bruzz and I love it! It's by far one of the best nail brushes out there and it smells great too! Hope you enjoy reading :)

I think it's safe to say everyone hates having dirty nails and as soon as you see a bit of dirt under your nails you want to get it out immediately. Well with this nail brush it's possible, it is super portable and light so you can easily put it in your bag and use it when ever you want.

Have you ever opened something and the nicest smell just drifts into your face? Well that is what happened to me when I opened the packet this nail brush came in. One of my favourite things about this product is that it is vanilla scented which not only is one of the best smells ever but it also leaves your nails smelling really nice too! One of the key features of this nail brush is its shape, this is to minimise the amount of water that splashes onto the mirror when you're cleaning your nails which I think is really unique and original.

Another thing I love about this product is its bristles are really soft, unlike other nail brushes they don't hurt underneath your nails when you're cleaning them. The bristles are made of rubber and are super easy to clean as you can remove them with out any trouble at all. You can even put it in the dishwasher too! As you clean your nails it also gives them a nice massage too which is really good for nail growth too and who doesn't want nice long nails!?

How to use and wash.

Get your favourite soap and squeeze a small amount into the along the middle of your brush and hold it so the bristles are facing up then all you need to do is scrub the dirt away!

Like I said earlier you can take the bristle part out and wash them in the dishwasher, since they can stand temperatures up to 120°C !!!  You can also wash them up by hand with a bit of soap and water.

The only thing I would change is probably to make the brush a bit deeper as a few people I asked said they could only put half of their nail in and would have preferred to be able to put the whole of their nail in.

You can buy this brush in a variety of different colours (Bright pink, blue and white) it is also available in a Boots, Amazon and Bruzz.com. Over all I would really recommend this it's defiantly worth the money and will instantly replace your old nail brush!

Follow Bruzz on twitter @BruzzLtd or Like their Facebook page here!

My morning routine!

Hey everyone! Today I thought I would share what usually happens from 6:45am - 8:00am Monday - Friday with you since I don't really have a routine on the weekends, enjoy reading!

So its 6:45 in the morning my alarm has just gone off. Usually I stay in bed for about 15 minutes however recently I have been getting up as soon as my alarm goes off simply because it is really sunny in the mornings, now that winter has completely disappeared and the summer is on its way (hopefully). I then go down stairs and have a shower using my mango body wash from boots which I got back in January and have really been loving it recently!

If I'm washing my hair I use my Fudge Urban cool mint shampoo which get rid of any remainders of product that has been left in my hair and then since I couldn't find the matching conditioner I use my Aussie Winter Miracle conditioner on the ends of my hair because if I use it on the top of my hair sometimes it looks a bit greasy. Although sometimes I just get a bit lazy and use my dry shampoo!

I also use my Simple Oil balancing face wash or sometimes my Simple facial moisturiser depending on which one I pick up first (I'm usually half asleep still and wishing for the day to be over so I can snuggle back into bed again, IM SO LAZY!). Once I've had a shower and hopefully not washed my hair by mistake (trust me, that happens quite often) I like to use my mango body butter that I got the same time as I got my body wash.

After that I get dressed and then it's time to tackle the hair! For most people this would be simple but my hair has a mind of its own and just to make things harder I have to wear it up for school! Usually I just go for a ponytail although sometimes my hair just doesn't even want to go up like that! So I usually end up just putting it up to the side of my head just below my ear.

Once I've done that its usually about 7:35 (maybe 7:45) and it's time for the make up depending on how I feel sometimes I like to put some one or just completely skip out this bit. If you want to know how I apply my make up on just click here.

Really should have cleaned these Oops!

I then have some breakfast which is 2 out of 3 times eaten whilst packing my bag and that is pretty much it. Thank you for reading!

InstaNatural Retinol Moisturiser Cream review

Hey everyone! So about 10 days ago InstaNatural sent me their moisturiser cream and asked me to write a review about it,hope you enjoy reading!

Firstly the cream says that it reduces wrinkles, well I can't really comment on that since I don't have any wrinkles! On the bottle it also says that it Hydrates skin, I really agree with this as sometimes when I'm outside my skin just gets battered by the wind and cold and it always ends up feeling dry and flakey but when I wear this product it doesn't seem to happen which is super good! Another thing that the product does really well is since I've been wearing this I actually haven't had nearly as many breakouts which is super helpful. It also left my skin feeling sooooo smooth too! As well as this the product is also not tested on animals which I think is really important to know when using a product.

Although there were many good things about this product there were some things that annoyed me a bit. Firstly the bottle has a pump (which is a very good idea) however I found it kind of tricky to push down, maybe this was just my product that I got, I don't know though, so that did get on my nerves a bit when I was in a bit of a rush or only got a little bit of product into my hand. Another thing that I didn't really like was the cream didn't have a smell I didn't really mind but it is nice to have a little scent in products.

How I used it:

1. I used it in the mornings and then sometimes put a small bit on before I went to bed.
2. After washing my face with the simple face wash (which you should all know about by now if not click here) and drying my face I put a small blob of product onto the back of my hand.
3. I then rubbed it into my face and my neck in circular motions.
4. Once it was all rubbed in I just put my make up on as usual (if you want to know how I do my make up click here) or if it was night time I just left it on and went to bed.

Over all this is a really good product and although it has a few things they're not major things that would put me off buying the product again. If you would like to buy it just click on the link http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00Q5ERAWQ. If you're wondering all of opinions are true and there is no way I would recommend something that I don't think is good enough to use!

I'm also thinking about posting on Wednesdays and Sundays instead of just Sunday! What do you think?

Thanks for reading!
